NOTICE TO BIDDERS

City of Warsaw, Indiana

    Owner: City of Warsaw, Board of Public Works and Safety

    Project/Work: Arnolt Building Demolition

    Notice is hereby given that the Board of Public Works and Safety acting on behalf of the City of Warsaw, will receive sealed bids for the above described “Project/Work” at the office of the Clerk Treasurer, 102 S. Buffalo Street, Warsaw, Indiana (City Hall) until 10:30 a.m. EST May 20, 2022. Bid Opening will take place shortly thereafter at the regularly schedule Board of Works meeting where all sealed bids will be publicly opened and read aloud in the Council Chambers of City Hall.

    All bids and proposals shall be properly and completely executed on the proposal forms provided with the contract documents, which will include the non-collusion affidavit as required by the State of Indiana. The bid envelope must be sealed and have the words:

“SEALED BID ENCLOSED – ARNOLT BUILDING DEMOLITION”

    A bid bond or certified check in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount bid must be submitted with each bid. A one hundred percent (100%) performance, a one hundred percent (100%) payment bond and a ten percent (10%) maintenance bond will also be required of the successful bidder.

    The project/work shall consist of, but not necessarily limited to, the following:  providing all equipment, materials, and labor for complete demolition and removals of the vacant building located at 2525 East Durbin Street, Warsaw.  This work will be performed in conjunction with the City’s active environmental remediation plan for the site.  It is intended that this work shall be started in Spring/Summer of 2022.

    Contract Documents for the Project have been assembled into one or more bound project manuals, which may be ordered by contacting City Engineer, Aaron Ott, through the email address [email protected] or by calling the Office of Building and Planning at (574) 372-9550

    The Contractor and all subcontractors will be required to comply with required Federal and State labor regulations.

    The City of Warsaw, Indiana, reserves the right to reject any and all proposals or parts there-of and to waive all responsibility for irregularities in bids.
