Manchester Boys Soccer Defeats Maconaquah

NORTH MANCHESTER – Manchester boys soccer took down Maconaquah in a convincing 3-1 victory Monday. The Squires are now 8-5 this season, and 4-1 in the Three Rivers Conference.

Manchester scored two goals in the first half of the match, and never looked back from there. The Squires would add one more goal in the second half to ice the game. Owen Kruschwitz, Michael Ortiz and Tyler McLain all found the back of the net.

Manchester plays its next game Wednesday at North Miami.



Tippecanoe Valley Volleyball Drops Close Match To Oak Hill

CONVERSE – Tippecanoe Valley volleyball dropped a tough non-conference game to Oak Hill Monday, losing in five sets 16-25, 25-22, 12-25, 25-16, 14-16. The Lady Vikings are now 14-7 this fall, and an undefeated 6-0 in conference play.

Mallory Durkes led the team with 14 kills. She also had a team-high four blocks. Brayden Baney had four aces, and 25 digs, both leading the squad. Macy Kirchenstien had 25 assists.

Tippy Valley plays Marion on Tuesday, and Wabash Thursday.



Wawasee Volleyball Falls To Northridge

MIDDLEBURY – Wawasee volleyball continued its sluggish start to conference play with a 25-16, 18-25, 14-25, 19-25 loss to Northridge Monday. The Warriorsd are 19-5 this season, 1-4 in Northern Lakes action.

Dylan Konieczny had a team-high 16 kills. Leslie Vazquez contributed five aces, and Amber Beer chipped in two blocks. Amanada Allen led the team with 37 assists and ten digs.

Wawasee plays its next game at Mishawaka Thursday.



Manchester Girls Soccer Loses To Logansport

LOGANSPORT – Manchester girls soccer was defeated 3-0 by Logansport Monday. It was the seventh straight loss for the Lady Squires, who are now 1-9-2 this season.

Manchester played strong defense for a majority of the match, but was unable to prevent Logansport from finding the back of the net three times. Despite the goals allowed, Kindra Stetzel had 22 saves in net.

Manchester plays Wednesday night against Peru for Senior Night.



Indiana Tailgate Tour Coming To Warsaw Vs. Wawasee

 WARSAW - In conjunction with the 2022 College Football Playoff National Championship coming to Indy on January 10, 2022, the 2022 Indianapolis Host Committee is bringing its inaugural Indiana Tailgate Tour to select high school football games across the state this fall, including this Friday’s Wawasee at Warsaw game.

During halftime, the Indianapolis Host Committee will award a $1,000 grant to the participating schools to aid in teacher and classroom development. An additional $500 will be donated to each school’s athletic department. In total, the Indianapolis Host Committee is committing $54,000.
