Tippecanoe Valley Volleyball Falls to Columbia City



AKRON – Tippecanoe Valley volleyball suffered a straight set defeat to Columbia City Monday night, 15-25, 14-25, 18-25. The Lady Vikings record falls to 8-4 this season.



Ava Smith led Tippy Valley with four kills, Mallory Durkes had two. Leading the team in digs was Brayden Baney,who finished with eight.



The Lady Vikings will try to snap a two-game losing streak against LaVille Tuesday.



 



Wawasee Volleyball Defeats Westview



SYRACUSE – Wawasee volleyball took down Westview in four sets Monday on senior night, 24-26, 25-14, 25-11, 25-8.  The Warriors get their second win in a row and improve their record to 12-1.



Amanda Allen led the team in both aces and assists, finishing with seven and 27. Leslie Vazquez had 14 kills and nine digs in the victory.



“I’m so proud of this group for all they have meant to Wawasee Volleyball,” head coach Jeff Phillips said.



Wawasee plays its next game against Concord Thursday.



 



Manchester Volleyball Loses To Bluffton



BLUFFTON – Manchester volleyball fell in straight sets to Bluffton Monday, 27-29, 22-25, 20-25. It’s the fifth loss in a row for the Lady Squires, whose record falls to 2-8 this season.



Olivia Auler led the team with six kills. McKelvey Espeset and Olivia Neal both had two aces. Paxton Baker had a team-high 16 assists.



Manchester will try to snap its losing streak against Rochester Thursday.



 



Tippecanoe Valley Boys Soccer Takes Down Culver Community



AKRON – Tippecanoe Valley boys soccer defeated Culver Community 4-0 Monday. The Vikings record improves to 3-5-1 this fall.



Tippy Valley opened up the scoring 12 minutes into the game, Caleb Petgen found the back of the net, and the rout was on. Carson Craft and Jon Ruiz both added first half goals to extend the halftime lead to 3-0. Kevin Mar slammed the door with a second half goal, and The Vikings excelled in defensive soccer for the remainder of the game.



The Vikings take on Rochester Wednesday.



 



Wawasee Boys Soccer Routed By Bremen



BREMEN – Wawasee boys soccer was defeated 9-0 by Bremen Monday. The Warriors record falls to 4-6 this season.



Wawasee fell behind 3-0 at halftime, before completely falling apart in the second half. The team allowed six goals, and was mercy ruled 9-0 with 15 minutes remaining in the contest.



The Warriors will look to regroup against Columbia City Thursday.



 



Manchester Boys Soccer Falls To Oak Hill



NORTH MANCHESTER – Manchester boys soccer dropped its contest with Oak Hill 2-1 Monday. The loss drops the Squires record to 5-4 this fall.



The lone Manchester goal was scored by Michael Ortiz. The Squires were able to manage 13 shots on goal, but were only able to find the back of the net once. Goalkeeper Kolby Haecker had a valiant effort in net, saving 23 shots.





 



Tippecanoe Valley Boys Tennis Drops Match To Rochester



ROCHESTER – Tippecanoe Valley boys tennis fell to Rochester 3-2 Monday evening. The Vikings record moves to 8-9 this season.



Dylan Neese was the lone winner in the singles competition for Tippy Valley. He won a close match in straight sets, 7-5, 7-5. On the doubles side of the competition, Cooper Walls and Annakin Pettit continued their hot play, winning their match 7-6, 6-1.



 



Wawasee Girls Golf  Defeats Whitko



NORTH MANCHESTER – Wawasee girls golf defeated Whitko in a close match Monday, winning 199-211. The Warriors record moves to 7-11 this fall.



Taylor Cripe led the way for Wawasee, finishing with a score of 44, the best in the competition. For Whitko, Guinny Garr had a team-best 49. Morgan Reel also shot a 49 for the Warriors.



Sectionals are Saturday at Stonehenge Golf Course.
