Syracuse Library Additional Appropriations

Notice is hereby given to the taxpayers of the library known as Syracuse -Turkey Creek Township Public Library (“the Library”) that the Board of Trustees (“the Board”) of the Library will meet at Syracuse-Turkey Creek Township Public Library, 115 East Main Street, Syracuse, Indiana, at the hour of 6:15 P.M. Eastern Standard Time on September 27, 2021 in the meeting room, to consider the following additional appropriations. The Board considers such additional appropriations necessary to meet the existing need at this time.
An appropriation in the amount of $65,000 for the purchase of real estate at 701 N Harrison Street, Syracuse, Indiana, including incidental expenses necessary to be incurred in connection with said purchase. The funds to meet such additional appropriation are to be provided by the Library Improvement Reserve Fund.
The foregoing appropriation is in addition to all appropriations provided for in the existing budget and tax levy, and a need for such appropriation exists by reason of the inadequacy of the present building to provide necessary library facilities in the library district.
Taxpayers of said Library appearing at said meeting shall have the right to be heard in respect to said additional appropriation.
