Two people were injured during a two-vehicle accident Friday at the intersection of North Ind. 15 and Anchorage Road, Warsaw.

According to the Warsaw Police Department accident report, at 3:02 p.m. Friday, Jesse A. Lester, 33, Goshen, was driving north in a 2019 Chevrolet on North Ind. 15. Lester said due to the impact, he was unable to recall the incident and couldn’t inform police of anything further.

Another witness said he was travelling north on North Ind. 15 near the Anchorage Road intersection. The second witness said he was behind Lester’s vehicle and noticed the traffic light turn yellow. The second witness said he began to slow down, and Lester’s vehicle continued. The second witness said Lester disregarded the red traffic signal and struck Marriott’s vehicle.

Lester complained of head pain and was transported to a hospital by Lutheran EMS; Marriott complained of chest pain. Damage was estimated at over $100,000.
