NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON A

PETITION FOR VOLUNTARY ANNEXATION

    Notice is hereby given that the Common Council of Warsaw, Indiana, will hold a public hearing on a Petition for Voluntary Annexation. The hearing will be held on the 20th day of December 2021, at 7:00 p.m. at the Council Chambers in the City Hall, 102 S. Buffalo Street, Warsaw, Indiana.

    The proposed annexation, also, involves consideration of a change of the zoning classification from Agricultural (County) to R-1 Residential for the following described tract:

    Legal Description:

    Part of the East half of the Northeast Quarter of Section l 4, Township 32 North, Range 6 East, Kosciusko County, Indiana, being more particularly described as follows, to wit:

    Commencing at a Harrison marker found at the Northwest corner of said Northeast Quarter; thence N89°-47'-15"E (adjoiner's deed bearing and used as the basis of bearings for this description), on and along the North line of said Northeast Quarter, a distance of 1337.64 feet to a railroad spike found at the Northwest corner of the East half of said Northeast Quarter; thence continuing N89°-47'- l5"E, on and along said North line, a distance of 660.00 feet to a Mag nail at the Northeast corner of a certain tract of land recorded in Document Number 2011110162 in the records of Kosciusko County, Indiana, said Mag nail also being at the POINT OF BEGINNING; thence continuing N89°-47'- l5"E, on and along said North line, being within the right-of-way of Old Road 30, a distance of 679.74 feet to a Harrison marker found at the Northeast corner of said Northeast Quarter; thence S00°-2l '-47”E, on and along the East line of said Northeast Quarter, a distance of 2636.16 feet to a rail iron post found at the Southeast corner of said Northeast Quarter; thence S89°-30'-40''W, on and along the South line of said Northeast Quarter, also being on and along the North line of a certain tract of land recorded in Document Number 2013081565 in said records, also being on the North line of a certain tract of land recorded in Document Number 2014090106 in said records, also on and along the North line of a certain tract of land recorded in Document Number 2017081106 in said records, a distance of 955.87 feet to a rail iron post found; thence S89°- 40'-20''W. on and along said South line, also being on and along the North line of said tract of land in Document Number 2017081106, also being on the North line of a certain tract of land recorded in Document Number 200500018274 in said records, a distance of 391.l 2 feet to the Southwest corner of the East half of said Northeast Quarter, said corner also being at the Southeast corner of a certain tract of land recorded in Document Number 200400003073 in said records, said corner being situated 1.6 feet South of a rail iron post found; thence N00°-12 '-21"W, on and along the West line of the East half of said Northeast Quarter, also being on and along the East line of said tract of land in Document Number 200400003073 and on and along the East line of Hunters Ridge Section 2, as recorded in Plat Book 11, page 95 in said records and on and along the East line of Hunters Ridge Section 1, as recorded in Plat Book 11, page 76 in said records, a distance of 1981.55 feet to a 5/8-inch iron pin capped “Walker” at the Southwest corner of a certain tract of land recorded in Document Number 20l1110160 in said records, said iron pin being situated S00°-12'-21"E (recorded S00°-1l '-47"E), a distance of 660.00 feet from the railroad spike found at the Northwest corner of the East half of said Northeast Quarter; thence N89°-47'-l 5"E, on and along the South line of said tract of land in Document Number 2011110160, a distance of 660.00 feet to a 5/8-inch iron pin capped “Walker” at the Southeast corner of said tract of land in Document Number 2011110160: thence N00°-12'-21"W (recorded N00°-11 '-47"W), on and along the East line of said tract of land in Document Number 2011110160 and on and along the East line of said tract of land in Document Number 2011110162, a distance of 660.00 feet to the point of beginning, containing 71.39 acres of land, more or less.

    Written suggestions or objections to the provisions of said annexation may be filed with the Community and Economic Development Department before such hearing and will be heard by the Common Council at the time and place specified.  Said hearing may be continued from time to time as may be necessary.

    Interested persons desiring to present their views upon the proposed annexation, either in writing or verbally, will be given the opportunity to be heard at the above mentioned time and place.  Copies of the proposed annexation may be examined in the office of the City Planner located at 102 S. Buffalo Street, Building & Planning Department, Warsaw, Indiana.
