NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC OF ADOPTION OF A RESOLUTION APPROVING A REQUEST FOR TAX ABATEMENT IN AN ECONOMIC  REVITALIZATION AREA WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE TOWN OF PIERCETON, INDIANA AND PUBLIC HEARING  ON SUCH APPROVAL

    Notice is hereby  given that  on  November  8, 2021,  the Town  Council  of Pierceton, Indiana adopted Declaratory Resolution No. 11-1-21, which Resolution provides in substance as follows:

    Whereas the real estate located at 22 Pequignot Drive., Pierceton, IN 46562, as more fully described in the Resolution ("Real Estate") has been declared an Economic Revitalization Area ("ERA")  and the improvement of the Real Estate would benefit and would promote the welfare of all citizens and taxpayers in Pierceton, Kosciusko County, Indiana. The Pierceton Town Council found and declared on September 2, 2021 and ratified on November 8, 2021 that deductions for ten (10) years for new manufacturing equipment and ten (10) years for new real estate improvements installed in the ERA would be granted for qualified projects.

    A description  of the affected  area is available  and can  be inspected  in the Pierceton Clerk/Treasurer's  Office.

    The Pierceton Town Council also found that it should approve the Statements of Benefits filed  by  Paragon  Medical,  Inc.  and  Ibex  Development  LLC  (collectively  "Company")  for  qualified projects located on the Real Estate for such 10 year abatement deductions.

    A  public  hearing  on these  matters  will  be held  by the  Pierceton  Town  Council  on December 13, 2021,  at 6:30 o'clock  P.M. in the Town Hall, 105 W. Walnut Street., Pierceton, Indiana 46562.  At this hearing, the Pierceton Town Council (1) will receive and hear all remonstrances and objections from interested persons, (2) shall take final action determining whether the qualifications for deductions in an economic revitalization area have been met and confirming, modifying and confirming, or  rescinding  the  Resolution,  after  considering  the  evidence,  and  (3)  shall  take  final  action  on  the Statements of Benefits.
