By -
She was born on Nov. 15, 1946, in East Aurora, N.Y., to Helen Marie Barton Fulton and Raymond Fulton.
Mary moved to Pierceton in 1975 with her family. For several years she worked at Da-Lite Screen Company in Warsaw. In 1986, she became a familiar and friendly face working as a level 2 assessor in the Kosciusko County assessor’s office until she retired in 2006. She had a great personality, and she very much enjoyed making others laugh and bringing smiles to their faces. Mary was real pet lover, she loved to pet dogs, cats, enjoyed the birds and being simply entertained by all of the wildlife outside her window. She loved being a mom and enjoyed being a grandma even more. Mary was as a long-time member of Calvary Baptist Church in Oswego and always enjoyed listening to a good sermon and LOVED her Lord, Jesus Christ. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Cheryl (Martin) Bargerhuff, Indiana; two sons: Dennis Gervasi, Kenosha, Wis.; Doug (Amy) Gervasi, Warsaw; her favorite six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and two sisters: JoAnn Baker and Nancy LeFort.
Mary’s life will be celebrated with a memorial service at 3 p.m. on Friday, May 21 at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, and officiated by Chaplain Bryan Benjamin. She will be laid to rest at Hillcrest Cemetery in Pierceton.
