Kosciusko Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for Hoffman Lake Campground, 7638 W. CR 300N, Warsaw, Tuesday.

Stacie Anderson said she and husband Brent have owned the campground since April 22, but became managers in October when her uncle and cousin decided they didn’t want to do it any more. Her grandparents started Hoffman Lake Campground in 1964.

Stacie said they decided to take over because they were living in her grandparents’ house and it’s the perfect place for her kids to grow up and have a wonderful experience.

The campground has 172 camp sites, with 126 of those being seasonal and 46 being weekender sites, she said.

Prices for seasonal campers range from $1,900 to $2,300, according to the campground’s website. The monthly price is $550, with weekender pricing ranging from $30 to $36 per night.

The season goes from April 15 to Oct. 15, she said.

Some of the changes Anderson said they are hoping to do is to expand the camp site. She said they have purchased the 36 acres behind the campground and there’s part of that acreage they would like to add more weekender sites. Their goal is to see that done in five to 10 years.

Some of the changes that have already been made includes new paint and flooring at the store at the campground, Stacie said. Some of the things campers can buy at the store include ice cream, RV parts, toilet paper, milk, hot dogs, orange juice, lighter fluid and charcoal.
