A news release Friday from the funeral home stated, “The Sadler family announces the closure of McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel. Our family and staff have faithfully served, with great honor, thousands of families in our community over the last 67-plus years. We have proudly remained a family-owned business, dedicating our lives to this great community. It is now time to focus our time and energy on our own family. Thank you for allowing us to serve you during your most sensitive times. It has truly been our honor.”
Currently scheduled services will be conducted as planned, according to the release.
Regarding prepaid, prearranged funerals, those will be entrusted to Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home.
“For those families requiring immediate need of service, we recommend you contact another funeral home of choice,” the release states.
McHatton-Sadler will maintain current business hours of 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, or by appointment, to assist families with any outstanding service needs until further notice.
