Hoplore Brewing currently is at 100 Old Ind. 15 in Leesburg, where they brew their own beer, have a restaurant and offer carryout alcohol.
Stefan King, co-owner and head brewer of Hoplore, said plans for the 307 W. Market St. location in downtown Warsaw are to move the brewing operation from Leesburg to Warsaw.
“We are looking at expanding our brewing operations,” King said. “We will also have a small tap room and tasting room there that will also serve food.”
King said the Leesburg location will remain open and will become the company’s full restaurant.
The board unanimously approved King’s new application for a riverfront beer, wine and liquor permit.
“We’re looking at probably 30 days or so from now to be ready to get that storefront open,” King said. “We’ve been working diligently on it, so we’re still hoping for end of May or first part of June.”
In other matters, the ATC unanimously approved the following renewals without violations:
• The Old Depot, 115 E. Market St., Pierceton, restaurant beer, wine and liquor.
• Freedom Oil LLC, 790 S. Ind. 13, North Webster, grocery store beer and wine dealer.
• Pizza Hut, 502 N. Detroit St., Warsaw, restaurant beer and wine dealer.
• Beef’s Booze Barn, 100 N. Huntington St., Syracuse, package store beer, wine and liquor.
• Mi Lindo Acalpulco Restaurant, 217 E. Center St., Warsaw, restaurant beer, wine and liquor.
• Pizza King, 1039 E. Winona Ave., Warsaw, and 719 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, restaurant beer and wine retailer.
The next Kosciusko County ATC meeting is 1 p.m. June 3 and is virtual option only. To find the link, visit www.in.gov and find the ATC link.
