Distance Depth Key To Warsaw's Princess Relays Title

The Tigers’ depth in middle- and long-distance events keyed the win.
An unexpected, and better yet, an elite performance in the 3200-meter relay early in the meet, where the Tigers assembled its strongest foursome of runners for the first time this season, scored crucial points to keep the Tigers atop the fourteen-team field.
Joey Rastrelli, Elizabeth Vander Bie, Ava Knight and Wini Barnett formed the 3200-meter relay team posting a winning 9:38.5 finish, currently one of the state’s fastest times in the event. The 1600-meter relay team of Barnett, Knight, Mikayla Mimnaugh, and Adree Beckham clocked a winning time of 4:05.63.
Marin Hart’s strong individual performance (1st place - 300m hurdles – 48.88, 2nd place – high jump – 5’0”) was among the meet’s notable performances.
Second-place finishers for the Tigers were: the 400-meter relay (Avery Fitzgerald, Lily Boston, Baylee Duncan, and Kendra Love – 51.81 sec.), the 800-meter sprint medley relay (Brooklyn Fitzgerald, Boston, Erika Bugg, and Rylee Burns – 1:56.31), and the distance medley relay (Amanda Lusinde, Ema Jenkins, Vander Bie, and Rastrelli – 13:14.44)
Warsaw third-place finishes included the high jump, pole vault and shuttle hurdle relays.
The Tigers will visit Plymouth Tuesday for their final regular season dual meet.
