By Staff Report-

SYRACUSE – Wawasee High School will present “Clue” as the spring play.

The show is directed by Kristin Bonner and her assistant, Mindy Coblentz. Joining Bonner and Coblentz on the production crew are Chris Dykhuisen, Jordan Fredericks and student teacher Jennifer Dannemiller.

“Clue,” written by Sandy Rustin and adapted from The Paramount Pictures film, is a murder mystery based on the board game by Hasbro Inc., according to a news release from WHS. The classic characters that many remember from the game will grace the stage as they frantically attempt to solve the mystery at Boddy Manor. Professor Plum, Miss Scarlet, Mr. Green, Mrs. White, Colonel Mustard and Mrs. Peacock, along with Wadsworth the Butler, will make you laugh and keep you guessing, “Whodunnit?” the release states.

Unique to this production is the double casting for each of the show weekends. Each weekend will feature a different cast. Bonner devised the double casting to avoid losing cast members on show nights due to potential quarantining. It has always been a concept Bonner has wanted to try and the restrictions COVID-19 has imposed gave her the opportunity to try it this spring. The cast and crew have been working to perfect their performances and delight the audience. It is a comedy that you won’t want to miss, according to the release.
