MILFORD – John A. Selles, 77, of Milford, passed away unexpectedly, Saturday morning, June 26, 2021, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne.

John was born on Nov. 27, 1943, in Albion, Mich., to Orlow Sellers and Ardean Stull Robinson.

John enjoyed fishing and junking. He liked working on things and could fix just about anything that had a motor on it. He loved his family and met his wife, Azzonna, when he was 15. He told her he would come back when he was 17, which he did and they spent 45 years together before her passing in May of 2005.

John is survived by five children: Rosemary (Bradley) Simmons, of Elkhart; Tina (Bill) Hall, of Nappanee; June Selles, of Milford; Cona (Troy Workman) Ladig, of Nappanee; and John (Brenda) Selles, of Goshen; 15 grandchildren: Todd Wilson, Christopher Wilson, Shannon Hall, Billy Hall, Chrissy Todd, Stacy Lawrence, Leeanna Hall, Steven Ladig, Sara Ladig, Shauna Collier, Samii Kimball, Justin Selles, Jeremy Wolf, Joanna Wolf and Rusty Ankrom; and 27 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Azzonna; and three grandchildren.

Funeral services are planned for 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 29 at Mishler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 461 W. CR 900N, Milford. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service, from 12 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Milford Cemetery.

Mishler Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Milford is entrusted with his care.
