104th Silver Lake Alumni Banquet Was Held June 12

SILVER LAKE – The 104th Silver Lake Alumni Banquet was held June 12 at South Pleasant Church, Silver Lake, with 102 “Ramblers” attending.

Special recognition was given to Everett Metzger, class of 1939, who at 100 years old, was our oldest attendee, and also drove himself to this year’s banquet. Also recognized was Evelyn Kline-Jagger who graduated with the class of 1941 and celebrated her 80-year alumni banquet.

The classes that were recognized were 1940, 1941, 1950, 1951, 1960 and 1961.

Tom Summe, class of 1947, from Edmonds, Wash., traveled the longest distance to be part of the 2021 banquet.

Music was played by Manyard Wade, class of 1947, on his dulcimer instrument.

In closing, the “Onward Rambler” school song was sung.
