Notice is hereby given, that the Kosciusko County Area Plan Commission shall hold a public hearing to discuss the amendment, revision, and addition of the following sections of the Kosciusko County Zoning Ordinance;
Zoning Ordinance:
Table A – Add Child Day Care Services (non-occupied home).
Add section 3.31 address the standards for Child Day Care Services (non-occupied home).
Article 9 – Definitions
Child Day Care Services
An establishment providing non-overnight care, supervision, and protection of children in a private residential structure, not occupied by a permanent residence, in which at least six (6) and no more than sixteen (16) children at any time receive child care from a provider:
(a) while unattended by a parent, legal guardian, or custodian;
(b) for regular compensation; and
(c) for more than four (4) hours but less than twenty-four (24) hours in each of ten (10) consecutive days per year, excluding intervening Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
Said amendment, revision, and addition to the Kosciusko County Zoning Ordinance shall, if adopted, apply to those unincorporated areas of Kosciusko County as well as those participating municipalities within the County including the Town of Syracuse, Town of Milford, Town of North Webster, Town of Etna Green, Town of Pierceton, Town of Burket, Town of Claypool, Town of Leesburg, and the Town of Silver Lake. Copies of the proposed amendments can be found on the Kosciusko County Area Plan Commission website at www.kcgov.com or in the Area Plan Commission Offices.
This Hearing will be held in the Commissioners meeting room on the 3rd floor of the Kosciusko County Courthouse at 100 W. Center St., Warsaw, Indiana, on Wednesday the 7th day of July 2021 at 1:00 P.M. All interested persons are invited to attend and be heard. Written comments will be considered if they are received in the Office if the Kosciusko County Area Plan Commission, Warsaw, Indiana, no later than 12:00 Noon on the day of the hearing. Copies of the proposals are available upon request in the Kosciusko County Area Plan Commission Office.
