Clearwater Car Wash Breaks Ground For 2nd Warsaw Location

Ground was broken for the new Clearwater Car Wash near the intersection of Ind. 15 and CR 300W, Warsaw, Friday.

This will be Clearwater’s third location. The first location is on Husky Trail, Warsaw, and has been in operation for five years. Clearwater also has a location in Muncie, which opened in July 2020, said Travis Jones, chief operating officer for Clearwater Car Wash.

When asked why open a second location in Warsaw, Jones said they’ve been blessed in being in Warsaw and it’s gone well. Clearwater said they saw that more cars needed to be washed and saw an opportunity in that, he said.

The new location is going to be similar to the current location in Warsaw, Jones said. There were some things that were modified and improved on at their Muncie location, so the new location is going to be a lot closer to what Clearwater has in Muncie. One example Jones gave was a belted conveyer and more vacuums.

There will be four holding lanes on the outside and one 160-foot tunnel through, Jones said.

Hours will be 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, Jones said.

Jones said he hopes to have the new location open in January, depending on weather and construction.

The new location will have 15 to 20 employees, Jones said. With all three locations, there should be about 60 employees in total.

Jones said he hopes expanding in Warsaw will give Clearwater an opportunity to partner with other businesses and help different communities, whether that be outreach or fiscally.

One organization Clearwater already partners with every year is Water For Good, so a portion of every carwash goes to that organization, Jones said. “So this is just another opportunity to get money in the hands of people that are doing good in the community and around the world.”

During the groundbreaking ceremony, Jones said the new location was the third location of many to come and was due to Warsaw and the Kosciusko County community.

Jones said Clearwater is really excited to provide more carwashes to people in the area.
