KEDCO Launches Customized Local Online Jobs Portal

By Staff Report-

Kosciusko Economic Development Corporation (KEDCO) on Tuesday announced the launch of KEDCO Career Bridge, an online jobs portal for local employers to highlight jobs that are available in Kosciusko County.

"We understand from speaking with local employers how many jobs are going unfilled and how important it is to quickly and efficiently connect job seekers with job opportunities, said KEDCO CEO Alan Tio. "Career Bridge provides an easy to use interface for employers and a curated site focused on Kosciusko County for job seekers."

KEDCO Career Bridge provides a platform for employers to easily add and update positions using only a handful of criteria: job title, pay scale, job location and link to the employer’s website.

"Career Bridge will help to ensure that job seekers are aware of the wealth of opportunities that exist in Kosciusko County,” said KEDCO Talent Program Manager Kristen Hale. "The site is in its infancy, but we already have nearly 100 jobs posted, and we will continue to test, evaluate and adapt the portal to meet the needs of local employers."

The jobs portal is currently limited to direct employment full- or part-time positions located in Kosciusko County and with a starting wage of at least $14 per hour.

Employers are asked to contact KEDCO for more information and to ensure that jobs meet the posting requirements.

Job seekers may visit www.kosciuskoedc.com/career-bridge to search for positions.

"Our talent initiative involves partnering with local employers to help them attract and retain talent from within our community and from elsewhere," said Hale. "We will continue to add content to showcase the quality of life that is ‘Clearly Kosciusko’ so that job seekers using Career Bridge will learn about the amenities that make our community a great place to live, learn and earn."
