She was born on April 4, 1943, in Syracuse, to Lawrence and Velva Brown Firestone. She was a lifelong Syracuse resident. She was a hairdresser and homemaker. She was an avid gardener.
Sue is survived by her husband, Carl Freel, of Syracuse; daughter, Stacey (Travis) Walter, of New Paris; two sons: Chad (Amy) Freel, of Warsaw; and Jason (Tasha) Freel, of Syracuse; daughter, Donna Pearson, of Albion; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one brother, Robert Firestone, of Goshen.
She was preceded by two brothers and one sister.
Visitation will be Monday, Aug. 2 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Eastlund Funeral Home, Syracuse. Services will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 3 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Syracuse Cemetery.
