Grant Slater, loan originator for Waterstone Mortgage, said he’s lived in the area most of his life. What brought him back to town, he said, was he was in orthopaedics for a long time and he had a good opportunity in the mortgage business with his neighbors, so “that’s what brings me here today.”

Slater said they are planning on opening an office between Warsaw and Indianapolis, which would probably be in Fort Wayne, but would still serve the Warsaw area. Waterstone has been serving the Warsaw area for approximately the past six months.
He said Waterstone helps first-time home buyers, as well as people wanting to refinance their homes.
He hopes to bring a good experience in buying homes to the Warsaw area, as well as saving people money.
