Girls Basketball

Whitko at Tippecanoe Valley

AKRON - Tippecanoe Valley stayed hot with its eighth win in nine games Saturday, defeating Whitko 57-44. The Lady Vikings are now 8-5 this season, 4-0 in the Three Rivers Conference, while The Lady ‘Cats fall to 3-9, 0-4 in the TRC.

Kaydence Mellott led Tippy Valley in scoring once again, scoring 24 points. Corinna Stiles had another good game, scoring 20. The leading scorer for Whitko was Kloe Krieg who finished with 16. Tippecanoe Valley won the junior varsity game 46-13

Next up for the Lady Vikings is a tournament at West Noble on December 30, while the Lady ‘Cats take on Prairie Heights December 28.



Triton at Pioneer

ROYAL CENTER – Triton was unable to pick up a conference win on the road at Pioneer Saturday, falling to the Panthers 60-36. The Lady Trojans are now 9-6 this winter, with a 2-2 record in the Hoosier North Athletic Conference.

Senior Taren Yates led Triton in scoring with 16 points on 7 of 13 shooting. Addyson Viers added 10 points and rebounds, securing yet another double double. Pioneer also won the junior varsity game 30-23.
