Lady Tigers Fall To Carroll

Warsaw’s girls’ golf team fell short of Carroll 360-369 at Stonehenge Monday night. The gap between the two combatants’ top two finishers comprised eight of the nine strokes the Tigers would have needed for a playoff.

Carroll’s Maria GeRue finished the 18-hole walk in 82 strokes compared to Maria Frazzetta’s 89 strokes for the afternoon. Olivia Robinson-Gay (91) was one stroke behind Carroll’s second-best finisher Gaby Frick (90).

The Tigers varsity’s quintet was rounded out by Abbey Peterson (93), Delaney Byron (96), and Abigail Davis (97).

Junior varsity Tigers finished their nine-hole matches led by Tessa Graney and Claire Deeter (55 strokes each), Celia Mangun (56), Alicia Johnson and Lucy ray (57 each), Claire Reust (60), Lily Kelsey (63), Macy Carlile, and Mia Jones (67 each).

Warsaw, to date, finished tenth at the Plymouth Invitational, and fourth at the NorthWood invitational. Their next match is at 5 p.m. Thursday, when they host Rochester at Rozella-Ford Golf Club looking for their first match win in 2021.



Whitko Downs North Miami

DENVER, Ind. – On a warm, breezy afternoon, the Whitko Lady Wildcats golf team defeated North Miami 225-261.

Guinny Garr was the match medalist with a 51. Kloe Krieg, Chloe Hathaway and Ariel Ross also figured into the scoring of the varsity match.

Additionally, Addie Garr, Justine Ocken and Anna Sickafoose each completed their first ever high school girls golf match by defeating their opponent.

Whitko faced off against Southern Wells Tuesday evening; results were not available at press time. The Lady Wildcats take on visiting Westview at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Sycamore Golf Club in North Manchester.



Ticketing Information For Warsaw VB Match At Concordia

FORT WAYNE – All of Fort Wayne Concordia’a athletic events continue to operate on a cashless system. Paper money will not be accepted at events or in the pre-purchasing of tickets.

Instead, tickets may be purchased from any device (iPad, computer, smartphone, etc.) into the event.

It is most ideal if tickets are purchased prior to the event via pre-sale. However, we will have QR codes available at the gate for those who wish to purchase tickets at the venue using a mobile device and a credit/debit card. No paper money will be accepted at any venue. Tickets for each event will be on sale individually on the TicketSpicket site.
