The Cookbook Committee of Kallie Chapman, Melissa Kissling, Kathy McDowell, Heather Reichenbach and Lauren Reinholt wish to introduce “Tri’d and True.”
This cookbook boasts recipes that members have tested and loved for years, and in some cases for generations.
It features nearly 600 recipes from local Tri Kappa members, is in a three-ring binder-style book and features cover art by McDowell.
Flavors from the community are also represented with several Warsaw and Winona Lake establishments contributing.
These local celebrities have submitted recipes, tips and even gift certificates, lending a local hometown feel to an already well-rounded cookbook, according to a news release.
The cookbook is organized with sections for main dishes, appetizers and beverages, soups and salads, vegetables and side dishes, breads and rolls and desserts.
Poring through the book, there is a vibrant diversity of offerings.
In addition to the array of flavors, there are recipes for the novice cook and experienced chef.
From a show-stopper gourmet dish to a quick weeknight supper menu, this book offers something for everyone.
Recipes include baked bruschetta, crispy honey orange glazed salmon, Greek lemon chicken orzo soup, rosemary bread and three-tiered buttermilk carrot cake.
There are vegetarian options and other recipes noted for their dietary compliance as well.
Whether it’s given as a gift, kept on your shelf, or passed down from one generation to another, a cookbook has the ability to share knowledge in a way that engages all of our senses, the release states.
“The recipes in this cookbook will remind you of our history, excite you with something new and possibly teach you innovative techniques. Most of all, cooking something new can bring people together,” the release states.
Tri Kappa uses fundraisers each year in order to provide for local charities, local student scholarships and in order to invest in our community’s cultural endeavors.
This cookbook is a culmination of that endeavor as Tri Kappa aims at continued, unwavering support in our community.
Cookbooks will be available for $25 each, cash or check, through Tri Kappa partners at: Latte Lounge, 108 N. Buffalo St., Warsaw; Oak & Alley, 2308 E. Center St., Warsaw; The Olive Branch, 1003 E. Canal St., Winona Lake; One Ten Craft Meatery, 110 N. Buffalo St., Warsaw; and Warsaw Cut Glass, 505 S. Detroit St., Warsaw.
