The margin of victory for Valley over Three Rivers Conference football rival Rochester was second only to the 1981 game, a 57-0 win.
Branson McBrier ran for a 1-yard touchdown, with Alex Craft getting the 2-point conversion, to stake the Vikings to a 8-0 lead about four minutes in. McBrier then matched the feat 11 seconds into the second quarter. Less than two minutes later, Jamasyn Virgil ran it in from two yards out to make it 21-0.
McBrier found Rex Kirchenstien for a 51-yard TD pass with about five minutes left before halftime, then Craft found the end zone 71 seconds before halftime to make it 33-0.
After Craft scored on a 34-yard run 1:18 after intermission, the running clock took effect. McBrier found Virgil for a 34-yard scoring pass play, and Craft found the end zone for the third time from 10 yards out with 3:15 to go in the third.
Other than the game’s final play to preserve the shutout, the starters had the rest of the night off in after Craft’s final score. Head coach Steve Moriarty brought his defensive starters in to preserve the shutout after a defensive unsportsmanlike call results in an untimed down.
McBrier hit all six of his passing attempts for 195 yards, and added 32 more yards on the ground. Craft had 107 yards on just eight carries, and a half dozen Vikings had at least 10 yards rushing. Valley finished with 458 total yards, and averaged just under 11-1/2 yards every time they snapped the ball.
The shutout was the second straight for Valley (3-2, 3-1 TRC), who have outscored its last two opponents 114-0.
Next up for the Vikings is a trip to South Whitley to face the Whitko Wildcats in TRC play.

Whitko (3-2, 2-2 TRC) traveled to Denver and took a 53-24 win over North Miami.
Manchester lost 55-18 at Northfield.

Panthers Blank Warriors
SYRACUSE – Visiting NorthWood scored four touchdowns in the first half and went on to a 39-0 Northern Lakes Conference football win over Wawasee Friday night.
Warrior quarterback Parker Young was 20-of-31 for 133 yards. The Panthers held Wawasee to -9 rushing yards.
Wawasee (2-3, 0-3 NLC) travels to Plymouth for a conference game Friday.
