Grace’s Pacocha Earns All-America Honors At NCCAA Championships

The Lady Lancers placed third in the field, led by Carolyn Pacocha. The sophomore earned All-American status with her eighth-place finish, completing the week with a scorecard of 71-83-83.
Pacocha is the third NCCAA All-American in program history, joining Young and Sydney Abbott.
For the week, Grace produced a three-round total of 968. That total marks the second-lowest 54-hole score in program history; it was also nine strokes better than last year’s NCCAA Nationals (when Grace won the national championship).
Lucy Young and Rebecca Hawes tied for 11th on the individual leaderboard. Hawes shot 77-78-84; Young shot 81-86 during her first two rounds and ended the tournament with a sizzling 72 on Wednesday.
Hannah Godfrey (81-87-88) and Rachel Harvey (87-84-89) were Grace’s fourth and fifth scorers respectively.
The NCCAA also honored four Grace players for academic achievements. Harvey, Hawes, Young and Olivia Shaw were given Scholar-Athlete status by the NCCAA. Camden Gongwer and Noah Wright for Grace's men's team also earned Scholar-Athlete distinction.
The Lady Lancers have now qualified for NCCAA Nationals three straight times under head coach Denny Duncan. Grace, the 22nd-ranked team in the NAIA, will continue its season in the spring.
