Tippecanoe Valley Comes Back For Win Over Maconaquah

AKRON – Hunter Eherenman’s 11-yard touchdown run with 7-1/2 minutes to go proved to be the game winner for host Tippecanoe Valley in its 20-17 win over Maconaquah in a Three Rivers Conference football game Friday night.

Maconaquah took a 17-13 lead into halftime and kept it through a scoreless third quarter, setting up Eherenman’s heroics.

The Vikings also had a 1-yard touchdown run by quarterback Branson McBrier and a 6-yard TD run by Jamasyn Virgil, who paced Valley with 125 yards rushing on 20 carries. Eherenman had 58 yards on 10 carries.

Valley finished with 313 yards of total offense for the night.

At 4-2 in the TRC (5-2 overall), Valley kept its conference title hopes alive. After next week’s game with visiting Manchester, the Vikings with travel to conference leader Southwood in two weeks with the winner likely emerging as conference champion.



Trojans Fall To Bluejays

NORTH JUDSON – A pair of second-quarter North Judson touchdowns broke a tie and gave the host Bluejays  the breathing room it needed to finish off a 30-12 win over visiting Triton in a Hoosier North Athletic Conference game Friday night.

Hunter Mcintyre led the Trojans with 57 yards on a dozen carries, and Trace Schuh had 53 yards on 12 carries. Anthony Schuh and Cole Shively each found the end zone for Triton.

Lucas Cabrera caught a pair of passes for 57 yards, and Nate Amsden caught two passes for 38 yards.

Triton (3-3 overall, 2-2 in the conference) hosts Knox at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
