By Staff Report-

The board of directors of the Kosciusko County Convention and Visitors Bureau (KCCVB) recently met to hold its annual meeting of the board.

Terms were renewed, a new member was elected and officers were voted in for 2021.

“In addition to the regular business of the board to build its team for 2021, members recognized the outgoing chair for three years of service,” said Jill Boggs, KCCVB chief executive officer.

Renewing their terms as members are Bob Abel with Zimmer Biomet, James Bausch with RE/MAX Results, Trace Hansen with Eastlake Skating Center and Doug Hanes with 1st Source Bank.

The KCCVB board of directors elected one new board member to its team. Machelle Landolt, manager/inn keeper of Chestnut House Bed & Breakfast, will begin her first term in January.

The 2021 officers of the board were elected. Doug Hanes with 1st Source Bank will serve as chair, Trace Hansen with Eastlake Skating Center as vice chair, Jenna Faas with DePuy Synthes as secretary and Jennifer Carnes with The Heyde Group LLC as treasurer.

Bob Jackson was recognized for the conclusion of his three-year term as chair of the board to a round of applause.

“I cannot thank you enough for always being available, for lending an ear and giving excellent counsel, for your leadership commitment, and support of the bureau’s mission. I am thrilled you will remain with us as immediate past chair while you continue to fulfill your term as an active board member,” said Boggs.

Another board member said, “Bob, you are an exemplar of decorum, sensibility and practicality. Great job and you are a model for your successor!”

Jackson will continue his involvement as a member of the Governance Committee, chaired by Sheila Wieringa. Jackson was presented with a commemorative gift from Warsaw Cut Glass to recognize his service.
