NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON A PETITION FOR

VOLUNTARY ANNEXATION

    Notice is hereby given that the Town Council of Winona Lake, Indiana, will hold a public hearing on a Petition for Voluntary Annexation under Indiana Code 36-4-3-5.1. The hearing will be held as a part of a special Town Council meeting in person and online on the 23rd day of June 2020, at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers in the Winona Lake Town Hall, 1310 Park Avenue, Winona Lake, IN 46590.

    The proposed annexation is for an approximate 119.4 acre segment of land contiguous to the Town’s current boundary generally located on the south side of Pierceton Road and to the East of 275 E. The proposed annexation petition is filed by 100% of the landowners of the land contained within the annexation. It also involves consideration of a change of the zoning classification from the county’s current zoning classifications to the Town’s current zoning classification as Residential.

    Written suggestions or objections to the provisions of said annexation may be filed with the Town Manager before such hearing and will be heard by the Town Council at the time and place specified. Said hearing may be continued from time to time as may be necessary.

    Interested persons desiring to present their views upon the proposed annexation, either in writing or verbally, will be given the opportunity to be heard at the meeting. Copies of the proposed annexation petition with a map and the fiscal plan may be examined, made available, or copied at the Winona Lake Town Hall, 1310 Park Avenue, Winona Lake, IN 46590.
