Wildman, 800 S. Buffalo St., Warsaw, is planning to show appreciation to local heroes and first responders for working tirelessly to keep the community safe during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Police, fire, EMT, healthcare workers, nursing home employees and caretakers are invited to join the drive-through event at JB’s Furniture parking lot, 2101 E. Center St., Warsaw, from 1 to 4 p.m. Friday.

First responders will receive a gift including a reusable bag with COVID-19 protection items needed to protect the front-line workers. Wildman will distribute 500 care packages on a first-come, first-serve basis. All those participating must show work identification as verification.

Social distancing will be practiced during this appreciation event, and those assisting will be wearing masks and gloves.

Giving back to the community has always been a priority for Wildman, according to a news release provided.
