By Dillon Bender-
Manchester had a pair of wrestlers earn Scholar All-America honors in senior JaVon Phillips and sophomore Joel Arney.
Wrestling at 141-pounds, Phillips posted a 21-10 mark in his final season for the Black and Gold. He led Manchester University with a fifth-place finish at the 2020 NCAA Division III Central Region Championships held at Adrian College at the end of February.
After posting a 14-10 mark as a freshman, Joel Arney posted a solid mark of 11-4 record at 157-pounds as a sophomore, despite missing some time this season due to an arm injury.
Both Phillips and Arney were recognized as NWCA Scholar All-Americans last year in 2019 as well.
