NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

NAPPANEE BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS

    The City of Nappanee Board of Zoning Appeals will hold a Public Hearing Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the City Municipal Building, 300 W. Lincoln St., Nappanee, Indiana.

    The purpose of this Hearing is to hear a Special Exception request, #02-20-SU, filed by Eric and Pamela Morrell, 305 E. Hudson Street Nappanee, Indiana. The request is for a Special Exception to allow a home occupation of a 1 chair beauty shop to be located at 305 E. Hudson Street. Nappanee, Indiana 46550.

LEGAL DESCRIPTION OF THE PROPERTY:  

    A part of the Southwest Quarter (SW 1/4) of the Southwest Quarter (SW 1/4) of Section 31, Township 35 North, Range 5 East, and more particularly described as follows:

    Beginning at a point 913.58 feet East of the Southwest corner of the above Section 31 named; thence continuing East along the South line of said Quarter Section 92 feet; thence North 297 feet to the South line of Hudson Street in the City of Nappanee; thence West along the South line of Hudson Street 92 feet; thence South 297 feet to the point of beginning and containing 0.627 acres, more or less.

    A copy of such proposal is on file in the office of the Zoning Administrator of the City of Nappanee. Written objections that are filed with the office of the Zoning Administrator of the City of Nappanee before the hearing will be considered.

    All concerned citizens will be offered the right to speak and voice their comment at the Public Hearing. The Public Hearing may be continued from time to time as may be found necessary.

    Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service for effective communication, or a modification of policies or procedures to participate in a program, service, or activity of the City should contact the Office of the City Clerk-Treasurer, 300 West Lincoln Street, Nappanee, Indiana 46550, (574) 773-2112, [email protected] as soon as possible but no later than 48 hours before the scheduled event.
