NOTICE OF ADOPTION OF ANNEXATION ORDINANCE BY TOWN OF WINONA LAKE, INDIANA

    NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the following Ordinance numbered 2020-07-1 providing for the annexation of territory to the Town of Winona Lake, Indiana, was adopted by the Town Council of the Town of Winona Lake, Indiana, on July 21, 2020 in accordance with I.C. 36-4-3-5.1.

    NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that Indiana Statues I.C. 36-4-3-15.5, provides a method and procedure for appealing the Annexation Ordinance which is the subject of this Notice, but written petition to appeal this Ordinance must be filed in the Circuit Court of Kosciusko County within thirty (30) days after publication. In absence of an appeal or remonstrance, the Ordinance takes effect thirty (30) days after its publication.

    The legal description in the Ordinance describes property that is approximately 119.4 acres contiguous to the Town’s current boundary generally located on the south side of Pierceton Road and to the East of 275 E. The real estate consists primarily of the former Raccoon Run Golf Course and the Southern portion of Stonehenge Golf Course.
