NOTICE OF PENDING PETITION FOR THE CREATION OF THE TURKEY CREEK DAM AND DIKE CONSERVANCY DISTRICT

    Pursuant to Ind. Code 14-33-2-12 and 14-33-2-14, please be advised that Freeholders of Kosciusko County have filed a Petition for the Creation of the Turkey Creek Dam and Dike Conservancy District with the Kosciusko County Circuit Court requesting that the Turkey Creek Dam and Dike Conservancy District be established for the following purposes: 1) providing for flood prevention and control; and 2) improving drainage through implementation of strategies to maintain, repair and provide upkeep for the dam and dike system pursuant to Indiana Code 14-33-1-1(a).

    Said proposed Turkey Creek Dam and Dike Conservancy District lies in whole or in part within Kosciusko County, the municipality of Syracuse, and the township of Turkey Creek, all within the State of Indiana. Said Petition having been filed with the Kosciusko County Circuit Court, the Petition is deemed incorporated herein with copies available from the Court. Pursuant to Ind. Code 14-33-2-11, the Kosciusko County Circuit Court has scheduled a hearing on the pending Petition for the Creation of the Turkey Creek Dam and Dike Conservancy District at 1:15 p.m. local time on March 5, 2020. The hearing will convene in the Kosciusko County Circuit Court courtroom in the Kosciusko County Courthouse located at 121 North Lake Street, Warsaw, Indiana.
