NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS ON THE PROPOSED ESTABLISHMENT

OF THE NORTH WEBSTER TIPPECANOE TOWNSHIP FIRE PROTECTION TERRITORY

    Notice is hereby given to the taxpayers of the Town of North Webster and Tippecanoe Township, Kosciusko County, Indiana, that a joint public hearing will be held before the North Webster Town Council and the Tippecanoe Township Board on Wednesday, February 12, 2020, at the hour of 7:00 P.M. at the Tippecanoe Township Office located at 102 South Morton Street, North Webster, Indiana, to consider a proposed ordinance and resolution for the establishment of the North Webster Tippecanoe Township Fire Protection Territory beginning with taxes payable in 2021.  Additional joint public hearings of the North Webster Town Council and the Tippecanoe Township Board are planned for Tuesday, February 18, 2020, at the hour of 6:00 P.M. at the North Webster Community Center located at 301 North Main Street, North Webster, Indiana and Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at the hour of 7:00 P.M at the Tippecanoe Township Office located at 102 South Morton Street, North Webster, Indiana. After the third and final public hearing, the North Webster Town Council and Tippecanoe Township Board will vote to either adopt, reject, or table the ordinance and resolution for the establishment of the North Webster Tippecanoe Township Fire Protection Territory. If enacted, the proposed ordinance and resolution will establish the North Webster Tippecanoe Township Fire Protection Territory between Tippecanoe Township (Provider Unit) and the Town of North Webster (Participating Unit) and will provide for a uniform tax rate within the territory.

    The proposed budget, property tax levy and rate for the Fire Territory for the next three years are shown below. Proposed levies represent maximum amounts. Tax rates are estimates and could vary based on certified net assessed values.
