Highway Department Notice To Bidders

NOTICE TO BIDDERS

    Notice is hereby given that the Board of Commissioners of Kosciusko County, Indiana from this date until February 18, 2020 at 9:00 A.M (Local Time) will receive sealed bids for:

    Bid Item # 1 Two New 2021 Single Axle Dump Truck Chassis.

    Bid Item# 2 Two New Dump Body Equipment for Single Axle Chassis with Dump body, Hoist, Hydraulics, underbody scraper with front plow hitch and Tailgate spreader.

    All bids must be submitted on Form #95.  Bids must be accompanied  by an affidavit of non-collusion and a bid bond or certified check for 10% of the bid.  Each bid item to be in a separate sealed envelope.

    The bids should then be submitted to the Kosciusko County Auditor's Office, 100 W. Center St., Warsaw, IN 46580.  The bids will be opened at 9:15 a.m. during the Commissioner's Meeting on February 18,2020.  The meeting will be located on the third floor of the Courthouse,  100 W. Center St., Warsaw, IN  46580.

    In comparing  bids, consideration  will not be confined to price only.  The successful  bid will be the one that is judged to best serve the interests of the Kosciusko County Highway Department when price, product, safety, quality and delivery are considered.  The Kosciusko County Board of Commissioners reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids or any part thereof, and to waive any minor technicalities.

    Bids will be accepted for consideration  on any type or variety that is equal or superior to the one specified. Decisions of equivalency will be at the sole interpretation  of the Kosciusko County Board of Commissioners.   A blanket statement that bid will meet all requirements  will not be sufficient to establish equivalence.

    Specifications may be obtained from the Kosciusko County Highway Department,  2936 E. Old Road 30, Warsaw, Indiana 46582.

    The Kosciusko County Highway Department reserves the right to ask for clarification  for any bid submitted. The specification  herein states the minimum requirements of the Kosciusko County Highway Department.  It shall be the Bidder's responsibility to carefully examine each item of the specification.  Any bid not in substantial compliance  with these specifications  will be rejected.  It will be the responsibility of the Bidder to conform to the requirements unless deviations have been specifically cited by the Bidder and acceptance made on the basis of the exception.   When the bid deviates from the specified item, documentation  shall be submitted that fully explains and justifies the deviation.
