Kosciusko County Farm Bureau partnered with Maple Leaf Farms to do a matching donation. A few weeks ago, Combined Community Services had a freezer go bad and lost 400 pounds of meat so the Farm Bureau decided they were going to help them out. Recently, CCS received a new walk-in freezer unit so they were able to accept a larger donation. In total, 975 pounds of chicken and duck products were donated to CCS Dec. 2. CCS has had record numbers of people needing items since a lot of people are out of work, “so we hope this will help them out for awhile,” according to information provided by Travis Adams, Kosciusko County Farm Bureau Young Farmer chair.
