The Warsaw Tiger Wrestling team hosted their annual Tiger Invitational Duals on Saturday.  

The Tigers posted a 3-1 record for the day with wins against Fort Wayne Wayne, Concord, and New Haven.

In the first round, Warsaw defeated Wayne 66-15.  All of the wins for the Tigers came by either pin or forfeit.

In round two, Warsaw earned their first NLC victory of the season by taking down Concord 45-33.  

The third round saw Warsaw ride big scoring runs on their way to a 38-32 victory over New Haven.

Round four brought Warsaw's only loss for the day, a 23-42 defeat by the Elkhart Lions.

Warsaw's team saw significant improvement and had many standout performances.



Four Tigers went undefeated:

Aaron Ross at 126 had 2 pins, a forfeit, and a decision

Jose Martinez at 132 had two major decisions and two forfeits

Andrew Ross at 138 had a pin, two majors, and a decision

Jacob Linky at 170 had a pin, two majors, and a forfeit



Three others went 3-1:

Elias Garza at 113, Isaiah Martinez at 120, and Mario Cortes at 182.



The 3-1 record for the day moves the Tigers to 4-4 this season and 1-2 in the NLC.  Warsaw will host Plymouth on Thursday for another NLC dual.
