Warsaw Community Development Corp., in partnership with the city of Warsaw and First Friday Warsaw, will be hosting a Downtown Warsaw Gift Card Fundraiser.

This event begins Friday and will run through 11:59 p.m. May 10.

Community members will be able to support downtown businesses by purchasing gift cards through WCDC’s website at warsawcdc.org. All of the gift cards will be $25, however you can purchase more than one and from multiple businesses.

The participating businesses include Anthology Whiskey Room, Biryani Kitchen, Brooch Boutique, Board & Brush, Bob List Photography, Buffalo Street Emporium & Book Store, Cox Studio, Elysian Company, Expressions Salon & Day Spa, Glam, La Troje, Latte Lounge/Cave on the Square, Mad Anthony Lake City Tap House, Male Fashions, Meraki Collective, Moving Pictures Tattoo Cinema, ONE TEN Craft Meatery, Paradiso Cocktail Bar, Penguin Point, Reinholt’s Town Square Furniture, Rex’s Rendezvous, Rua, The Lab and Three Crowns Coffee.

In place of the usual in-person First Friday event, there will be a virtual event including live music from local musician Sam Ule. Those who would like to listen to Ule can visit the First Friday Warsaw Facebook page from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday.

Additionally, there will be an at-home sidewalk chalk competition from 6 to 6:45 p.m. To enter, participants must take a photo of their sidewalk art, post it on Facebook and tag First Friday Warsaw. Winners of the contest will receive a $50 gift card to the participating downtown businesses of their choice.

The sidewalk chalk competition is sponsored by Community Grace Brethren Church. To conclude the evening, Community Grace Brethren Church will be saying a prayer from the community beginning at 8 p.m.
