NAPPANEE – Rob Rohena, owner of Monkeyhouse Marketing, announced his initiatives to offer $75,000 in grants and free websites for local nonprofit organizations and small businesses.

“In times of crisis it’s important we support each other,” Rohena said. “Monkeyhouse Marketing wants to connect small businesses and nonprofit organizations to the programs and services that can help them most during the COVID-19 pandemic.”

Monkeyhouse Marketing wants to help impact the community with initiatives called “Monkey Do” – offering $25,000 in four annual grants for nonprofits and donations of 10 e-commerce websites valued at $50,000 for small businesses, among other services.

Monkey Do will assist nonprofits and small businesses in learning how to use digital tools to fish for donations, volunteers and/or new customers, according to a news release from Monkeyhouse Marketing.

For nonprofit organizations Monkeyhouse will award up to $25,000 in creative services for one year. Those services could include creative consultation, fundraising and development consultation, print and web design and digital marketing and public relations.

Any 501c3 organization in the seven county geographic regions of Northern Indiana, including St. Joseph, Elkhart, Marshall and Kosciusko counties, are eligible to apply. The grant application submission deadline is at 4:30 p.m. May 15 with an award date of May 29.

Applications can be requested at [email protected] or by calling 574-329-9022.

For small businesses Monkeyhouse is offering 10 eligible small businesses within Michiana a new free website. Eligibility is simple; businesses in operation for at least one year and do not currently have an e-commerce website.

“Now more than ever it’s crucial for small businesses to have an e-commerce website in order to thrive,” Rohena said.

In addition, Monkeyhouse Marketing works in conjunction with the University of Notre Dame’s Mendoza School of Business Not-For-Profit Department to offer free digital marketing training to nonprofit organizations.

Monkeyhouse also volunteers over 300 hours per year to help small businesses.

“Our clients pay $150 per hour for our services,” Rohena stated.

For those who may be furloughed from their jobs and are interested in how digital marketing works, Monkeyhouse can provide free training resources.
