    Whose Whereabouts Are Unknown

    On October 11, 2019, at 9:30 a.m., in the Kosciusko Superior Court NO. 1, at 121 North Lake street, Warsaw, IN 46580, the Kosciusko Superior Court No. 1 will hold a hearing to determine whether a Guardian should be appointed or protective order should be issued for Carolyn Schnitz. A copy of the Petition filed herein requesting appointment of Guardian is attached to this notice.

    At the hearing, the Court will determine whether Carolyn Schnitz is an incapacitated person under Indiana Law. This proceeding may substantially affect the rights of Carolyn Schnitz.

    If the Court finds that Carolyn Schnit is an incapacitated person, the Court shall, at said bearing, also consider whether Tamera S. Schnitz should be appointed as Guardian of the person and estate of Carolyn Schnitz. The Court may, in its discretion, appoint some other qualified person or institution as Guardian. The Court may also, inits discretion, limit the powers and duties of the Guardian. The Court may also determine whether a protective order should be entered on behalf of Carolyn Schnitz.

    Carolyn Schnitz may attend the hearing and be represented by an attorney. The Petition may be heard and determined in Carolyn Schnitz's absence if the Court determines that the presence of Carolyn Schnitz is not required. If Carolyn Schnitz attends the hearing, opposes the Petition, and is not represented by an attorney, the Court may appoint an attorney to represent Carolyn Schnitz. The Court may, where required, appoint a Guardian ad litem to represent Carolyn Schnitz at the hearing.

    The Court may, onits own motion or on request of any interested person, postpone the hearing to another date and time.
