Allstate Receives Facade Grant

Tuesday afternoon, Warsaw Community Development Corp. and the city of Warsaw presented a $4,471 facade grant to Westrick Family Allstate, 107 E. Center St. “We’re very honored and thankful. We’ve been wanting to do this for a while,” owner Dan Westrick told WCDC President Rob Parker. The facade grant is given to downtown businesses to improve their outside appearance. The businesses also must be members of the WCDC. Warsaw Mayor Joe Thallemer told Westrick, “It really means a lot you invested (in your building) and looked to this fund to help you.” Westrick said the improvements included a new awning, roof and facade, fresh paint on the front and the front was cleaned up.
