According to director Dana McAfee, this is a revised version of the original Rodgers and Hammerstein musical and it was on Broadway in 2012. “There are some new, fun characters and some little twists that aren't in the original production,” but it’s the same basic fairy tale, she said.
Performances are Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2:30 p.m. in the WCHS Performing Arts Center, which opened about 13 years ago.
Tickets are available in the PAC box office all weekdays or call 574-371-5040. Adult tickets are $15 and students/seniors/all children are $10.
“We are doing a fundraiser this year to raise money to update our sound system so there will be donation opportunities at the show. We are also selling light-up wands at concessions that can be bought and kids can light them up with the fairy godmother during a point in the show,” according to McAfee.
The cast includes Lauren Housel as Ella; Anna Bowald, Madame; Davin Broadhurst, Prince Topher; Ian Peloza, Sebastian; Damian Jordon, Lord Pinkleton; Cayla Harris, Marie; Luke Howard, Jean-Michel; Emma Spencer, Gabrielle; Kyleigh Herring, Charlotte; Natalie Oler, courtier/ensemble; Erika Kelly, fox; Olivia Johnson, raccoon/ensemble; Josie Miller, footman/ensemble; Katie Jones, coachman/a lady/ensemble; David Howard, horse/ensemble; Edward Robison, horse/ensemble; Jasmine Stroup, next partner/ensemble; Isa Silva, a duchess/ensemble; Reagan Polk, older woman/ensemble; Theo Cooke, a lord/Sam/ensemble; Eleanor Williamson, a guest/ensemble; Michelle Apeland, another guest/ensemble; Alyssa Pena, duchess/ensemble; Cami Brown, another duchess/ensemble; Danie Miner, yet another duchess/ensemble; Jordan Norris, Duke of Cheshire/ensemble; Gordon Horton, Duke of Cavendish/official/ensemble; and Ellie Lewis as Yvonne/ensemble.
