Recently, OrthoCity Brewery & Smokehouse dedicated a percentage of one day's profits to benefit the Warsaw Evening Optimist Club. Many of the members were there cleaning tables and greeting customers. Afterward, the Evening Optimist Club was presented with a check from the owners. These funds will be dedicated to empowering and encouraging young ladies through a newly formed leadership academy. The Evening Optimist Club was formed Aug. 16, created by women, and dedicated to be friendly and welcoming to all while benefiting local children. The Evening Optimist Club meets every first and third Thursday of each month, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the conference room at Wire & Steam Coffee House. There is no cost to attend.
