Essig Will Celebrate His 80th Birthday

G. David Essig will celebrate his 80th birthday next week.

Dave was born March 5, 1939, in Warsaw, to G. Raymond “Sport” and Mildred Essig. He lived all his life in Warsaw except for joining the Air Force after high school.

He retired from R.R. Donnelly after 37 years and joined the family plant business, retiring again in 2003.

Dave and his wife, Janet, have two sons, Eric (Becky) Essig and Jason Essig. They also have two grandsons, Evan and Jared, and a great-granddaughter, Millie.

Dave enjoys family, friends and jazz music. He played drums in various groups in the area.

County Issues Burn Ban Effective Immediately
Kosciusko County issued a burn ban effective at noon Wednesday. Neighboring Marshall and Fulton counties already had a ban in place.
