The adult services department begins Presi-dents Day with Writer’s Corner at 10 a.m. when the group will meet to share essays written about “the perfect job.” Anyone who likes to write is invited to join the group the third Monday each month.
If you’re an adult who enjoys the creativity and relaxing effects of coloring, the library will hold an informal adult coloring session at 1 p.m. Wednesday. Bring your own coloring sheets and supplies and enjoy a casual time of coloring while chatting and visiting with others.
Jazz up your workout routine at “Let’s Move” at 6 p.m. Feb. 21. This is a dance exercise class that uses dancing as a form of exercise. Participants have fun dancing along with dance videos while getting a good workout. The class is free and open to adults of all ages and fitness levels.
The library’s Local History and Genealogy Center has been researching and putting together histories of early pioneering families in Tippecanoe Township. So far, five family histories have been completed with staff and volunteers working to complete more. These histories are shelved in the Local History and Genealogy Center and available to the public.
Anyone willing to share old family photos, letters, diaries or other local historical information is encouraged to bring them into the center where they can be copied and returned or donated. The Local History and Genealogy Center is dedicated to preserving local history and assisting patrons with genealogy research.
