Harting Furniture Gallery Going Out Of Business After 86 Years

Owner Von Harting said it was a difficult decision to close the store, which was established in 1933 by his grandfather, Harry, and father, Byron.

Harting Furniture’s going-out-of-business sale begins Thursday at 1703 Ind. 114 W., at the corner of Ind. 13 and 114. Storewide markdowns including furniture and mattresses from famous brands. Howard Miller clocks will be reduced 50 percent.
“On behalf of the Harting family and from the bottom of our hearts, thank you to all our customers as well as our beloved community,” said Von Harting, who has also been involved with the Mizpah Shriners of Northeast Indiana.
The building that has been home to Harting Furniture since 1980 is for sale.
