Manchester Director of Athletics Rick Espeset, released a statement that read:

"I want to thank Gerad for his work at MU.  Over his four-year career, he has mentored basketball student-athletes and many other Manchester students.  In addition to building strong relationships with students, Gerad was engaged with colleagues across campus.  I appreciated many things about Gerad, notably, his friendly personality, our one-on-one conversations, and his passion for Manchester University and our students. I wish him the best in his future endeavors."

A national search will begin immediately to fill the position.
