Registration is open for the Wagon Wheel Center for the Arts summer camp, which will be headlined by a production of “Les Miserables,” high school version.

Originally opening on Broadway in 1987, the pop-opera has been translated into 21 languages and is estimated to have been seen by over 70 million people.

Singers and actors entering grades 8-12 may participate in the 10-day workshop. Working alongside industry professionals, students will get training in acting, singing and dancing while working toward a final production for friends and family.

The camp goes from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. July 3-13 except for July 7, when rehearsal will be in the evening. Students should bring a sack lunch and snacks.

Auditions for specific roles will be at 1 p.m. June 5. Campers should prepare 32 bars from the show. Those unable to attend the auditions on that date can make arrangements to sing for the production team another time.

Cost for the camp is $250, which includes admission to the performance of “Oklahoma” at 2 p.m. July 11.

The performance of “Les Miserables” will be at 1 p.m. July 13. Enrolled campers will receive two complimentary tickets. Additional tickets can be purchased for $12 each.

The Wagon Wheel Theatre is at 2515 E. Center St., Warsaw. Call 574-267-8041.
