As spring break winds down, there will still be plenty of fun to be had for kids young and old as First Friday returns to downtown Warsaw.

“Spring Fling” is from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday on the county courthouse square. It’s the first First Friday of 2019.

“It will be fun and the weather is supposed to be good,” said First Friday coordinator Paula Bowman.

Crossroads Community Church will host a kids’ Easter egg hunt with about 10,000 eggs for children to find, Bowman said. There are three specific fields: birth to pre-kindergarten and special needs, first through third grade, and fourth through sixth grade. All three fields will be held every hour on the half hour, with prize giveaways on the hour starting at 6 p.m.

Bags will be available for the egg hunt, or children may bring their own.

So adults won’t feel left out, there will be an adult Easter egg hunt in the downtown stores. Bowman said adults can search for the eggs in each store that is open Friday evening, with a limit of one egg per person per store. “You never know what you are going to find in your egg,” she said.

Kids of all ages also may bring their remote-control cars and race around the 63-foot-long oval track to see who has the fastest car in the area. The half-block track will feature sand moguls and ramps. Preregistration is at the cannon. Electricity for recharging is available, so bring your charger.

Categories for the remote-control car racing are ages 6 to 12, 13 to 17, and 18 and older.

There also will be four bouncy houses for the kids to jump in during the evening.

Tammie Davis will offer face painting in front of Latte Lounge on North Buffalo Street.

Dave Baumgartner will be spinning music for everyone’s enjoyment.
