After reviewing multiple nonprofit nominees from Kosciusko County, 212 Media Studios announced the Animal Welfare League of Kosciusko County as the 2019 Non-Profit Community Impact Award Winner.

The award recognizes AWL for its leadership across multiple criteria, including community collaboration, innovation and creativity, according to a news release from 212.

“Katey Wilkes-Zemen, the AWL’s visionary leader, has worked tirelessly to raise awareness for this organization’s work to help the community understand its mission as more than just a shelter for abandoned pets,” said 212 Chief Marketing Officer David Phelps. “Through its innovation and creativity, the AWL is partnering with multiple local businesses, schools and organizations to positively impact our community.”

“We’re honored and excited to be selected as the winner of the 2019 Non-Profit Community Impact Award,” said Wilkes-Zemen. “As our organization continues to grow, we’re excited that 212 Media Studios will help us raise awareness for our mission.”

The criteria for award consideration included examples of innovation, entrepreneurship, exceptional collaboration, creativity and a strategic vision. The AWL will receive a year’s worth of marketing services, including an industry-leading strategy focused on social media, email marketing, communication tactics, rebranding and more.

“The AWL’s unique ideas and strategic vision really stood out as examples of leadership and creativity in our community,” said 212 Non-Profit Inbound Marketing Specialist Julia Koorey. “We’re happy to present them with this award and to help them with their marketing needs for the coming year.”

Along with the Animal Welfare League, the Lilly Center for Lakes & Streams and OrthoWorx were chosen as finalists based on their visionary leadership, creativity and innovation. 212 reviewed all nominees to determine which organization best met the award criteria across multiple categories.
